Mighty but Mini. Omnilux, the world’s leader in LED skin therapy, took all the derm-healing power of their famous LED masks and shrunk it into a pocket-sized go-anywhere treat-anytime package. Badmoon was on board from day one, concepting, producing, and shooting a multi-faceted launch campaign that included studio assets and a series of launch videos shot on-location in Venice, Malibu, Pasadena, and Claremont.
Theragun is the original high-frequency, high-amplitude neuromuscular percussive therapy device that provides muscle activation, recovery, and pain relief. Coveted by physical therapists and beloved by athletes, Theragun can be found in the Dodger’s dugout, on the sidelines at a Lakers game, or in the gym bags of the world’s fastest and strongest. Des Linden is a professional long-distance runner and Theragun athlete. In 2018 she won the Boston Marathon, becoming the first American woman in 33 years to win the event. Theragun and Badmoon caught up with Des in Charlevoix, Michigan to shoot a 1-minute spot, educational video content, and photography for Theragun’s channels. Photography by Mike Windle
Nugg was getting ready to launch Nugg Club, their new DTC delivery service. We challenged leadership to think outside of email and text marketing: launch with a 360 marketing campaign including OOH, affiliate, direct response, and guerilla tactics. Step one was a full rebrand, which would be a departure from the start-up branding Nugg was still using. Badmoon acted as a consultant on everything from determining brand positioning & voice, to color palette and general aesthetic. Next, we needed to determine messaging and theme for the first announcements of the new service. The idea of flipping Reefer Madness on its head had been thrown around, so we decided to portray the early cultural days of cannabis as they should have been portrayed then- inclusive, tasteful, and rooted in wellness; well, Gladness to be exact. Reefer Gladness was born. Badmoon was tasked with spearheading the era-specific photoshoot for OOH print ads. We developed and locked concepts, managed casting and crewing, dialed in three perfect shooting locations and permits, and executed the two-day shoot with our own photographers, wardrobe/makeup team, and producer. Shot on medium format digital and film.
Omnilux, the world-leader in LED skin therapy devices, wanted to go big and bright for Holiday 2022. Badmoon was their production partner from inception to production, post to delivery. The campaign went live on HULU and Netflix, and billboards across NYC and Chicago.
Founded by caring for the ones they love, Papa & Barkley is a team of scientists, caregivers, and advocates who are committed to producing safe and reliable products from the whole cannabis plant. Badmoon was brought on to photograph their entire product line, including their new hemp offering, Essentials. From sourcing talent to firing first photos, we executed with less than a week’s notice.
PerfectWerks’ mission was to create a pressurized growler that keeps beer fresh, cold and carbonated for longer. The uKeg was born shortly after in Portland, Oregon and now the uKeg can be found in breweries and REI’s across the country. We pitched PerfectWerks on a paid placement that would include an original story and photography by our team. The relationships grew to include more creative work for their social channels. To this day, our images are still the top performing content on PerfectWerks’ channels.
Men’s skin is 50% thicker than women’s skin; This is what compelled LED experts, Omnilux, to develop a male-specific red light therapy mask. Designed to reach deeper into the skin’s cells, the Men’s Mask rejuvenates skin by promoting mitochondrial function and collagen production. Badmoon was brought on to concept, write, shoot, and edit the go-to-market content for the Men’s Mask. Because skincare is selfcare.
As Nugg moved away from a marketplace model and into DTC, Badmoon was tasked with creating original product imagery for Nugg Club’s new select menu and social/email marketing. The shoot covered over 250 top-selling SKUs, each with 3-5 unique angles.
Taking the leap from LED to topicals, Omnilux have positioned themselves as a world-authority on skincare. We worked with the Omnilux team to create launch content for their first three topicals products. Scope included product photography, on-model stills, and a series of How-To videos for their site.
Remember the glowing glacial water from The Water Boy? Well, Nurish is kinda like that. Harboring deep-ocean (think miles deep), mineral rich water, Nurish has captured and pouched some of the world’s most mineral rich and hydrating liquid into pouch form. Badmoon sat with the Nurish team pre-launch, and ideated on how to best demonstrate and pique interest in this highly unique beverage. The launch video takes us down through the deeps, on an adventure of mostly-stock footage packed full of deep sea creatures and microscopic mineral madness. Popout Carousel Content
Born out of the necessity for clean nutritional products, Ladder was founded by LeBron James and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Badmoon has been one of Ladder’s content partners since day one, executing multiple product shoots and animated social content.
In our inaugural project with Omnilux, the world’s leader in LED skincare devices, we set out to create 30-second spots for their top products, a set of How-To videos, and studio photography. Our images went on to hit billboards and transit shelters across New York City and Chicago.
Lumin is simplifying skin routines for men by providing a line of curated products for the masculine man. We were brought on board to help shoot the entire product line for their 2020 website rebuild and marketing campaigns. The shoot spanned five days and resulted in over 400 assets delivered. We developed Beyond The Brand to give Nugg patrons a transparent showcase of the top LA-based producers of fine cannabis products. From growers and extractors, to bakeries, we aimed to focus on companies with strong ethos and deep roots in the industry. The series not only builds brand loyalty and trust in Nugg and its products, but strengthens Nugg’s partnerships with key brands they retail.
Safe Companies was about to launch their B2B sanitization business in the midst of 2020. They wanted a brand video that showcased their unique offerings, while appealing to the emotion of their potential clients. Badmoon produced a 3.5 minute spot on a shoestring budget and one shoot day.
