Peru. The land of ceviche, deadly altitude, and handmade alpaca hacky sacks. This was our first stop on what would become the rawest six months of travel I’ve experienced. From being foodies in Lima, to knocking out the Cordillera Huayhuash trek with no support, to summiting 19,101′ Volcán Misti and getting sick on passionfruit from the Arequipa markets. The land of guinea pigs isn’t as soft as you’d think.
